Waterbed Sheets – Popular In 70’s And Coming Back Now

A waterbed was really popular in the 70’s, however they can still be purchased today. Some people find they are very comfortable. I have never personally slept on one, however, I understand they need specific waterbed sheets. Typical bedding set will not work because the sheets are too small. You also need special double strength elastic for the waterbed sheet to stick to the mattress. You may find conventional bedding sets wrapped around the 'ol ankles in the morning if specific waterbed products are not purchased.

A Top Waterbed Sheet – Is Larger Than Conventional Sheets

A top waterbed sheet is usually a little larger than the conventional bedding sets. This allows you to tuck it in all the way around and it will stay in place. There isn’t too much difference in fabric from conventional sheet sets. There are a lot of choices available online for flannel, 100% cotton, percale 50% 50% blend or satin. Pick out anything to go with the bedroom décor.

The more firm the waterbed mattress is, the easier it will be for the fitted waterbed sheet to stay tucked around the mattress. Smaller fitted sheets will just keep popping off and the elastic won’t stick to the mattress. It is always best to purchase the right equipment or supplies for the things we own and then we won’t have trouble in the future. That goes for bedding sets as well.
